Still hate my job but am really excited to be moving departments. Don't know that it will be better but it can't be any worse. Unfortunately that move is not scheduled for permanency until April 1st. Hey...at least I have a date now right!

Another mortgage payment made. This time only an extra $33.80 to the principal but hey...every bit counts right?



Still waiting for my refund. Even though 90% of it or so will go straight into the bank...I am anxiously awaiting its arrival. Mostly due to the fact that it will provide me with that three month security in case my job ceases to be.

I also applied for and received a new Discover card that I am super excited about. I had been wanting another credit card anyway and decided to apply for the Discover More rewards card. So far I have been good and followed my plan of ONLY using it for things I would have HAD to purchase with my debit card anyways during the month...which is namely Groceries and Gas.

Great thing is the card offers 5% cash back on Grocery purchases (first $200.00 only) and 1% on everything else. For money that I would have HAD to spend anyway...I sure don't mind paying the extra 1% and since everything is in the budget already...paying it off every month will be no problem. I think I over analyze it a little bit though b/c I have already started transferring the money from every transaction I charge...to a separate savings account in my ING...so that when the bill comes, the money is right there to pay it from.
